Enrico Credendino, Chief of the Italian Navy; and Vice-Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command, Indian Navy.

Defense News: USS Forrest Sherman Visits Port of Algiers

The USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98) visited Algiers on a port visit this week. The three-day visit demonstrated the ongoing friendship and security cooperation between the U.S. and Algeria, building off prior port visit stopovers in Algiers and Oran in 2023 by the USNS Trenton (T-EPF 5).

Defense News: FY 2024 U.S. Pacific Fleet Sailors of the Year

HONOLULU – Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet (PACFLT), announced the FY 2024 Sailors of the Year (SOY) during a ceremony held, May 14, at the Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu. Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Andrew Velikic was selected as the Sea Sailor of the Year, and Aviation Structural Mechanic 1st Class Joseph Hopkins was selected as the Shore Sailor of the Year.
