ROANOKE, Va. – First Assistant United States Attorney Robert N. Tracci today announced the release of the first Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Annual Report highlighting the district’s ongoing efforts to reduce violent crime by enhancing law enforcement partnerships across federal, state, and local agencies, including Virginia sheriff’s offices, police departments, and Commonwealth’s Attorney’s.   This year’s report underscores the significant impact of three major PSN operations conducted in Danville, Roanoke, and Lynchburg. Each of these initiatives focused on identifying and prioritizing  drivers of violent crime and removing them from the community, as well as seizing illegal firearms and narcotics from our streets.
